The Transformation Plan sets a vision, goals and priorities for the long term future of the Westside neighborhood. The plan lays out an ambitious long term road map for the equitable, sustainable and holistic revitalization of the community with extensive input from the families who live there.

Existing Neighborhood
The Westside Evolves study boundary for the purpose of the planning process is bound by Main Street, Riverfront Parkway, Highway 27 and MLK Boulevard.

Opportunity Sites
The planning process focused on two priority sites, College Hill Courts and Gateway Towers sites. Other CHA and City owned land are incorporated into the proposed masterplan.

Concept Plan - CHA/City Property
The proposed masterplan incorporates new housing, parks, open spaces, and a renovated community hub at the James Henry building on CHA and City owned land.

Concept Plan - Long Term Vision
A longer term aspirational plan takes into consideration all underutilized properties with in the study area with connecting streets, expanded open spaces and additional housing.
Build First
Blocks J, K and E2 are existing open spaces slated for phase 1 development in order to build on vacant land and give the ability to for people to remain in place while construction begins and is completed for new homes to move into.
